In project TS 26 we performed a complete reconstruction and renovation of an old home in the center of Sofia. The changes included moving the kitchen to the living room and setting up a children’s bedroom. We made space for a closet both in the corridor and in the children’s room.
We have preserved the spirit of the building and the home by keeping elements typical for the Mid-century modern design style of the XX century: friezes, natural walnut veneer, bronze, oval lighting fixtures, leather, and soft warm colors in the movable furniture. The frame as a specific and repetitive element is present both in the paintings and in the mirrors, dressers, and closet doors. Upon the customer’s request, the master bedroom is following a more modern line, relying on clean lines and lighting built directly into the ceiling creeping structure.
