Our work on this timber house in the city of Vidin began at the very earliest stage — during the design process itself — in close collaboration with the architectural studio. In prefabricated wooden houses, all installations (electrical, plumbing, and HVAC) are integrated directly into the wooden walls, which makes any changes after construction extremely labor-intensive and financially impractical.
To avoid unnecessary rework, we developed the drawings and the façade together with LOGhomesbulgaria from the very beginning. By reviewing the project from the inside out and carefully considering every piece of furniture, dimension, and layout detail, it became clear that the originally planned storage space for coats and shoes in the hallway was insufficient for a family house.
We advised both the clients and the architects that a second formal entrance was unnecessary, as in practice one entrance inevitably becomes the primary one while the other remains unused. This decision allowed us to create significantly more storage space in the hallway and led to a comprehensive redesign of the house — including the roof ridge, entrances, windows, façades, and transforming the roof from flat to pitched.
Working side by side with our architect colleagues enabled us to propose the most functional layout and ensure that every square meter was used in the most efficient and thoughtful way.
The clients are long-standing partners of ours and once again placed their full trust in our design. They approved the project without a single revision. Achieving such a striking result was possible thanks to a clearly defined stylistic brief from the client, complete creative freedom, and a budget that allowed us to bring our ideas to life without compromise.
